SPARKS BURIALS IN HARTFORD, NEW YORK
In the December 1969 issue of the Quarterly we noted the grave stone inscription for Henry Sparks of Hartford, New York, who died on April 26, 1816, aged 69 years. We have since learned that there is a will on file in Washington County, New York, for Henry Sparks of the town of Hartford, dated August 1, 1815, and probated on September 12, 1815. In his will, Henry Sparks mentioned his daughter Hannah, and his sons Jesse Sparks and Samuel Sparks, also daughters Bethana, Polly, Phebe, and Melinda. The executor was Lemuel Griffin of Hartford.
