October 6, 1788. Marriage bond of Benjamin Weatherford married Nancy Sparks; Surety, John Carrier; they were married on November 12, 1788, by the Rev. Edward Almond.

The Alexandria Gazette, published in Alexandria, Virginia, on August 22, 1835, contains the following item:
"Married, On Thursday evening, by the Rev. Mr. Brown, Mr. Robert Emmett Kain, of Washington, married Mrs. Julia Ann Sparks, of this place."
