QUERY: ELIZA JANE (SPARKS) BUDD

Marjorie D. Budd, Rt. 2, Box 91, Platteville, Wisconsin (53818), who joined our Association recently, would like to correspond with persons interested in the following branch of the Sparks family. Eliza Jane Sparks (born ca. 1822 in Kentucky) was a daughter of Daniel and Jemima (Gunn) Sparks. She married John Moses Budd on January 11, 1838, in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. Who were the parents of John Moses Budd? (Were they Joseph and Ruth Budd? It is known that Joseph Budd was a son of John and Elizabeth Budd who came to Kentucky ca. 1797 from Dutchess County, New York, and Morris County, New Jersey.)

John and Eliza Jane (Sparks) Budd moved to Missouri ca. 1861 -2. Eliza Jane died of tuberculosis ca. 1864. Where was she buried?

Who were the parents of Jemima Gunn, wife of Daniel Sparks? (Daniel Sparks was born in Kentucky ca. 1787 and died in Vigo County, Indiana, in 1862 or 1863--his estate was settled in 1863. He was a son of Walter Sparks, born ca. 1760 in Middlesex County, New Jersey, who accompanied his parents (his father's name was Richard) to what became Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, prior to the American Revolution. Walter Sparks moved his family to Jefferson County, Kentucky, ca. 1789.)
