[Editor's Note: The District of Columbia was included in the federal censuses of 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, and 1840, but no one named Sparks has been found on any of these records. When the 1850 census was taken of the District, however, four individuals named Sparks were included, one being a 6-month-old baby.
