SPARKS FAMILIES LISTED ON THE 1850 CENSUS OF VERMONT
(Editor's Note: The reader is referred to the general remarks regarding the 1850 census which introduces the census of Connecticut on page 2308 of this issue of the Quarterly. In 1850, as today, Vermont had 114 counties. Persons named Sparks were living in only two of these counties in 1850, Addison (which was formed in 1785) and Windham (formed in 1781). It is interesting that every male named Sparks living in Vermont in 1850, according to the census, had been born in Vermont.)
